Ultima Online suit builder: every slot, every resist, every cap

For official shards · every figure from uo.com · free, no account needed

A suit is where a template succeeds or fails. Five resists, a dozen properties, and a cap on almost all of them. A point over a cap is a point that could have been doing something else.

The suit builder dresses a character a slot at a time. The game’s own item window sits over every piece, and the Character Status window updates as you go.

Resists stop at 70

Every resist caps at 70. A suit showing 78 physical takes hits exactly like one at 70, so those 8 points are wasted. The one exception is race: an elf’s energy resist cap is 75.

Armour refinements move the cap. A reinforced refinement raises your maximum individual resist and lowers your maximum Defense Chance Increase by one; a deflecting one does the reverse. Refinements only go on non-medable armour, and transmogrified armour cannot be refined. The refinements calculator says which component your armour takes.

The results screen sets every one of your totals against its cap, so you can see what is wasted and where there is room.

The stat cap goes with it

Stats on items count toward a stat cap of 225, raised by account age (5), a Scroll of Power (up to 25) and a Valiant Commendation (5) to 260. The suit builder’s What raises the cap box adds up yours.

How to use it

  1. Open the suit builder.
  2. Tap a slot (Head, Chest, Ring and so on) and choose a piece: an artifact, a set piece or loot with properties you add yourself.
  3. Watch the Character Status window change as you go. When you are done, tap Export suit as an image to get one picture with the tooltip of every piece.

Then open Results and turn on a buff, debuff or mastery to watch the numbers move. The weapon and shield have builders of their own: the weapon builder and the shield builder.

Where these numbers come from

Every cap and figure on this page is from uo.com’s official wiki, and the builder uses the same ones. Anything uo.com does not publish carries a [!] in the tool, on the screen where it appears.

All of it describes official shards. Free shards run different numbers and a figure from one of them would be wrong here.
